As more technologically advanced attractions have been added to thepark over the years, the Jungle Cruise has, by comparison, lost some of itsluster. Though still a good attraction, it offers few thrills and no surprisesfor Disneyland Park veterans, many of whom can rattle off the ride’s narrationright along with the guide.
The skipper guides keep the journey lively by interacting with passengers and delivering a constant stream of puns and one-liners. The cruise builds to an exciting climax as the boat narrowly escapes angry natives, dangerous rapids, and a headhunter camp. After surviving the adventure, the cruise concludes back at the boathouse where guests disembark. The Jungle Cruise lasts approximately 7-10 minutes depending on the skipper’s pacing and boat traffic. The ride is family-friendly with no height restrictions, though some scenes may be frightening for very young children.
Plenty of celebrities have dropped by Disney World for a quick family vacation or getaway... You never know what kind of corny jokes or hidden references you’ll find (peep the giraffe on the sign to the left). The jokes are no better in California, and the only major difference is that the Anaheim ride doesn't have a cave section.
